Monica Ciardi Christie Connection? Ex-Gov Tied to NJ Mom’s Shocking Prosecution

Weaponized Justice, Psychological Complexes, and the Secret Courtroom Keeping a Mother Jailed: The Monica Ciardi Christie Connection

By Richard Luthmann

New Jersey mother Monica Ciardi remains locked inside Essex County Jail, facing a staggering 33-year prison sentence for allegedly making false accusations against her ex-husband, John Uanis.

Her case has become the face of weaponized family courts and political prosecution in New Jersey.

NJ Police Firearms Instructor John Uanis

The saga began when Ciardi lost custody of her daughters in 2022.

Uanis is a police firearms instructor in Morris Plains, New Jersey. He is also an alleged abuser.

If the Family Courts had even entertained the abuse allegations, Uanis would have lost his firearms under New Jersey law.

After she spoke out against her ex-husband and the corrupt judicial system on social media, authorities came after her.

She was arrested for making “terroristic threats” against Morris County Judge Peter Bogaard (a Chris Christie friend and appointee from Mendham, New Jersey).

The “terroristic threats” were bogus, as Ciardi was quoting back the judge’s own words from the bench.

She went to jail for months because there were no quotation marks.

Her supporters say the real reason she went to jail is that Uanis is connected to and protected by the most powerful (and allegedly corrupt) people in the State of New Jersey, including former Governor Chris Christie.

Chris Christie

Multiple sources confirm that John Uanis socializes with Chris Christie and his brother, Todd Christie.

Several sources believe Uanis is a client of Christie 55 Solutions, and the former governor is “handling” the Monica Ciardi situation.

According to their LinkedIn page, “We are a New Jersey based consulting firm headed by former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. We provide strategic counsel and consulting services to assist clients with their business strategies and opportunities, and with complex public policy and regulatory challenges at the state, federal and international levels.”

One wonders if “political fixing” for John Uanis and Melanie Hemsey is part of the Christie 55 Solutions repertoire. We asked but received no answers as of press time.

Good Morning,

We are conducting an investigative report regarding the high-profile case of Monica Ciardi, a protective mother who remains incarcerated in Essex County Jail under questionable circumstances.

Monica Ciardi formerly lived in Mendham Borough and, while married to John Uanis, regularly socialized with Chris and Todd Christie and their spouses, among others. We have this from multiple verified sources.

Monica Ciardi now faces 33 years in New Jersey state prison based on claims made by her ex-husband, John Uanis, a firearms instructor in Morris Plains, New Jersey.

Several protected sources have confirmed the involvement of individuals connected to Christie 55 Solutions, LLC, former Governor Chris Christie, his brother Todd Christie, and others. We are seeking clarification on a number of pressing issues.

Below are our specific questions:

1. Chris Christie and Todd Christie’s Relationship with John Uanis and Melanie Hemsey

  • Have any members of the Christie family engaged in any business dealings, investments, or other financial transactions with Uanis or Hemsey?
  • Have Chris Christie or Todd Christie ever been made aware of allegations of domestic violence or child abuse against Uanis?
  • Did Christie or his associates have any role in facilitating Uanis’s continued retention of his firearms instructor credentials despite allegations of abuse?
  • Can Christie 55 Solutions confirm whether Uanis or Hemsey have ever worked on or contributed to any political campaigns associated with Chris Christie or Todd Christie?

2. Christie 55 Solutions’ Business Interests and Possible Involvement in the Ciardi Case

  • Has Christie 55 Solutions, LLC, ever engaged in any business dealings with John Uanis or Melanie Hemsey?
  • Has Christie 55 Solutions provided any consulting, legal, lobbying, or crisis management services to Uanis or Hemsey?
  • Is Christie 55 Solutions currently or has it ever been retained by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Mendham Police Department, or any other New Jersey law enforcement agencies?
  • Has Christie 55 Solutions advised on or been involved in any strategic decision-making related to the prosecution of Monica Ciardi?
  • Has Christie 55 Solutions ever been approached regarding media relations or reputation management for Uanis, Hemsey, or anyone affiliated with their case?

3. Chris Christie’s Influence on the New Jersey Judicial and Prosecutorial System

  • Did Chris Christie, during his tenure as governor, play a role in appointing judges or prosecutors who were or who are now involved in the Ciardi case?
  • Does Christie 55 Solutions have any contractual or advisory relationships with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Marshall, or any other officials involved in this case?
  • Have any current members of the Christie 55 Solutions team provided informal or off-the-record guidance regarding Ciardi’s prosecution or incarceration?

4. Potential Conflicts of Interest and Ethical Concerns

  • Is Christie 55 Solutions aware of any conflicts of interest that may arise due to Chris Christie’s past political appointments, particularly in relation to this case?
  • Can Christie 55 Solutions confirm or deny allegations that Chris Christie has used his influence to shield Uanis from scrutiny and assist in the legal case against Ciardi?
  • Is Christie 55 Solutions currently involved in any public relations, crisis management, or damage control efforts related to Ciardi’s case?

5. Political and Financial Influence

  • Have Chris Christie, Todd Christie, or Christie 55 Solutions made any financial contributions, campaign donations, or political endorsements related to individuals or institutions involved in this case (e.g., Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Judge Mark S. Ali, Judge Stuart Minkowitz, etc.)?
  • Have any of these entities received financial contributions from individuals associated with Uanis, Hemsey, or their legal representatives?
  • Has Christie 55 Solutions lobbied or advocated for any changes in firearm regulations that may have directly or indirectly benefited Uanis?

We would appreciate responses and any other comments you can provide. We will go to press soon. If we do not receive your responses by press time, we will publish them as part of a follow-up in order to provide the readership with a fair and balanced perspective.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Recently, Ciardi was indicted for making “false allegations” against Uanis—despite video evidence of her children reporting physical abuse by their father to the Mendham Township Police.

Instead of investigating Uanis, prosecutors charged Ciardi with felony offenses, claiming she had made up the abuse allegations.

Family Court Hostage Monica Ciardi

After months of incarceration, on the verge of becoming a medicated shell of herself, Ciardi has been presented with a grim plea deal: Accept three years in prison or risk fighting the case and facing a potential 33-year sentence.

The Latest: The State’s Insulting Plea Deal

Morris County Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Marshall has offered Ciardi a three-year prison sentence—essentially for loving her daughters and trying to protect them from their father. The deal, which many legal experts believe is a desperate attempt by the prosecution to avoid public scrutiny, underscores the retaliatory nature of this case.

“This is a disgrace. They have nothing on Monica, and they know it,” said Family Court Fraud Warrior David Weigel, who has been leading protests on Ciardi’s behalf. “This plea deal isn’t about justice—it’s about making her go away quietly. If she were guilty of anything, they wouldn’t be offering her a deal.”

But accepting the deal would mean admitting to crimes she didn’t commit.

It would also give Uanis and the corrupt New Jersey legal machine exactly what they want: Ciardi permanently discredited, her name tarnished, and her children forever removed from her life.

The Man Behind It All: John Uanis and His Phallic Complex?

John Uanis is the complaining witness in the indictment that put Ciardi behind bars. He is a firearms instructor with deep ties to law enforcement in Morris County, including the Sheriff’s Office and the Mendham Police Department.

His motivation for pursuing charges against Ciardi appears to go beyond legal grievances—it’s psychological.

Gun equals penis?
Gun equals penis?

Dr. Jill Jones Soderman, founder of the Foundation for the Child Victims of the Family Courts (fcvfc.org), is an expert in high-conflict family court cases.

She argues that Uanis’s obsession with keeping his firearms may stem from what Freud identified as the “Phallic Complex.”

This psychological theory suggests that men who fixate on guns equate them with their masculinity and virility.

Monica Ciardi Christie Connection? NJ mom faces 33 years in prison for exposing corruption. Why is her courtroom secret?
John Uanis’ identity is tied to firearms. If he is an abuser, should he have access to guns?

“For men like Uanis, losing access to their firearms is like losing their manhood,” said Dr. Soderman. “The allegations against him could have led to a firearms revocation, and that would have shattered his identity. That’s why he needed to discredit Monica at all costs.”

Uanis’s entire legal crusade against Ciardi appears to be driven by fear—fear of losing his weapons, fear of being exposed, and fear of a mother reclaiming her children.

His actions fit perfectly within an “Institutional Silver Bullet” playbook, where corrupt government actors protect abusive men and punish the women who dare to speak out.

The Woman Beside Him: Melanie Hemsey and Her Hera & Lucrezia Borgia Complexes?

Uanis isn’t acting alone.

Melanie Hemsey
Melanie Hemsey

His new wife, Melanie Hemsey, has been just as active in the campaign against Ciardi.

Her motivations appear to be deeply rooted in two psychological archetypes: The “Hera Complex” and the “Lucrezia Borgia Complex.”

The Hera Complex

In Greek mythology, Hera, Zeus’s wife, was notorious for her vengeful attacks on Zeus’s lovers and their children, particularly Alcmene, the mother of Hercules.

Melanie Hemsey fits this profile disturbingly well.

“Melanie views Monica as a threat to her dominance over Uanis. Just like Hera sought to destroy Zeus’s mistresses, Melanie wants Monica erased from existence,” said Dr. Soderman. “Whether it’s jealousy, barrenness, or menopause, she sees Monica as competition and is willing to destroy her to secure her own place.”

By backing Uanis’s claims and encouraging the persecution of Ciardi, Hemsey is ensuring that the mother of her stepchildren is permanently eliminated from the picture.

Like Hera’s attacks on Alceme, Hemsey’s maneuvering has caused apparent harm to the children, denying them of their mother’s love and now stigmatizing their mother as a criminal.

The Lucrezia Borgia Complex

Borgia
‘A glass of wine with Caesar Borgia’ (1893) by John Collier.

Lucrezia Borgia, the infamous daughter of Pope Alexander VI, was known for using poison to kill her enemies slowly and methodically:

[T]here was also a darker side to Lucrezia.

She regularly attended the dinners the Borgia’s were so fond of throwing which were often described as being little better than drunken orgies. She liked to organise them and would often greet the guests as they arrived. But a dinner invitation from the Borgia’s was not something to be taken lightly and for many it would be a last supper.

Lucrezia however was always the perfect hostess, nothing was ever too much trouble, and it was said that she was rarely seen without a smile. It was also said that she wore a ring that was hollowed out in the middle where was hidden a phial of poison. Whether this was true we do not know but it was certainly a rumour current at the time, and her presence at those dinner parties was to blacken her reputation for all time.

Hemsey’s actions resemble this sinister strategy.

“Melanie doesn’t need to wield a weapon—she has the courts and the Mendham-Morristown political establishment,” said Soderman.  “By feeding false claims into the legal system, she’s apparently letting the State of New Jersey do her dirty work. It’s weaponized justice, institutional DARVO, and far more deadly than Cantarella, the Borgia’s poison of choice.”

Judge Ali’s Closed Courtroom and the New Jersey Shroud of Secrecy

The New Jersey judicial system is enabling this abuse.

Judge Mark S. Ali, who is overseeing Ciardi’s case, has conducted secretive hearings, denied public access, and refused to provide transparency.

NJ Judge Mark S. Ali

When Ciardi was too ill to attend a recent hearing in person, Judge Ali refused to accommodate a video appearance, further delaying the case.

Court watchers and journalists attempting to monitor the proceedings were met with silence from the court.

“Why the secrecy? Because they know this case is a fraud,” said Weigel. “Every time there’s a hearing, they shut out the public. They don’t want anyone to see what’s really happening.”

Dave Weigel

Calls to Judge Ali’s chambers at (973) 776-9464 have gone unanswered, and requests for livestream access to hearings have been ignored.

Ciardi’s supporters are urging the public to demand transparency in her case:

  • 📞 Call Judge Mark S. Ali’s Chambers: (973) 776-9464
  • 🔎 Demand transparency in all future proceedings
  • 📢 Ask for a public livestream of hearings, citing Richmond Newspapers v. Virginia and In re VV Pub. Corp.

The questions remain: Why is Monica still in jail? How is this protective mother a danger?

The Verdict: A Broken System Protecting the Abuser and Punishing the Innocent

Monica Ciardi is a political prisoner of New Jersey’s corrupt judicial system. What is the Monica Ciardi Christie Connection?

She is being persecuted because she stood up for her children, exposed her ex-husband’s abuse, and dared to challenge the establishment.

Meanwhile, politically connected John Uanis and Melanie Hemsey continue to live freely, shielded by the Morris County political machine.

The three-year prison sentence offered as a plea bargain is nothing more than an attempt to bury this case before more people demand accountability.

“Monica is not a threat to the administration of justice,” said Weigel. “She is a threat to corrupt actors who fear exposure. That’s why they want her locked away.”

As Ciardi remains behind bars, her supporters are calling for urgent action. The Family Court Fraud Warrior Project continues to demand an investigation into the misconduct of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Judge Ali, and the law enforcement agencies involved in this travesty of justice.

The world is watching. Will New Jersey correct its course, or will it continue its descent into judicial tyranny?
